Navigating the New Bitwave UI
Learn how to find familiar features and navigate the redesigned Bitwave interface using the new top-level categories.
A Guide for Existing Users
Use this guide to find familiar Bitwave features in the redesigned interface and adjust to the new navigation structure.
We redesigned the interface to make navigation clearer and more structured. No features have been removed; everything you used before is still available and organized into clearer sections.
This guide helps you:
- Understand the new navigation structure
- Quickly locate familiar features
- Adjust with confidence
What Changed
Old UI
Previously, all areas of the platform lived inside one long vertical sidebar. Transactions, accounting tools, pricing, reports, administration, security, and more were stacked in a single navigation.
This often meant:
- More scrolling
- More visual density
- More time spent locating specific pages
New UI
The platform is now divided into six primary categories in a horizontal navigation bar at the top:
- Accounting
- Assets
- Wallets
- Institutional
- Reporting
- Admin
When you select a category, the left-side navigation updates to show only the tools relevant to that section. This creates a more focused, task-based experience.
What Each Section Is For
| Section | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Accounting | Work with transactions, rules, accounting configuration, pricing, and inventory-related analysis. |
| Assets | Manage wrapping treatment and review token filtering, including tokens marked as spam, filtered, whitelisted, or blacklisted. |
| Wallets | Manage wallet, exchange, and custodial connections, and import new manual data sources. |
| Treasury | Manage your portfolio, setup threshold monitoring and revenue forecasting |
| Institutional | Import and explore data from sources such as Google Sheets and BigQuery. |
| Reporting | Generate and download transaction, balance, pricing, reconciliation, and journal reports. |
| Admin | Manage organization settings, system configurations, users, permissions, SSO, and API access. |
Why You Might Not See Certain Features
If you do not see a feature mentioned in this guide, it may be due to:
- Role-based access restrictions
- Organization-level permissions
- Premium features or add-ons that are not enabled
Feature visibility depends on your assigned role and your organization’s subscription. If you believe you should have access to a specific feature, contact your account manager or email Bitwave Support.
